Established in 1979 as a volunteer fire department, Mount Lemmon Fire District was originally Summerhaven.
Now a combination fire department that maintains 2 firefighters with EMS qualifications on staff at all times. MLFD now provides fire support to the unincorporated areas of Soldiers Camp and Willow Canyon as well.
Mount Lemmon Fire District is fully committed to providing accessible facilities, elements and channels of communication to all members of the public. As part of this commitment, Mount Lemmon Fire District has a policy of providing an accessible website compatible with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) and commercial screen reading software.
